“SCEEP”

SUBURBAN CULTURAL EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

SCEEP is a non-sectarian joint venture between Notre Dame Church, Congregation Agudath Isreal of West Caldwell and Newark-based Protestant Community Centers.

Beginning in October and ending in May, second graders from one Newark elementary school met at Notre Dame on Thursday afternoons. They were tutored two-on-one by honor roll students from local high schools. The students tutoring had to maintain their honor roll status in order to participate in the program.

The program recently completed another successful session.
