“WE’RE GOING BACK”

 OPERATION KATRINA

JULY 13-19, 2008

Hurricane Katrina hit the southern coast of the United States on August 28th, 2005, with devastating effects.  It was estimated that more than 1,800 people lost there lives, and damages were in excess of $81 billion dollars.

Efforts to assist those affected by Hurricane Katrina still continue, and those who were affected by this terrible storm continue to work to regain the health and livelihood that they had before the storm: that is why we are going back.

Sixteen teens and six to eight chaperones will be flying into New Orleans, July 13, 2008.  This year we will be working with “Camp Coast Care”.  Camp Coast Care has hosted thousands of volunteers from all over the world who come to assist with the continuing clean up and the rebuilding of lives, homes and communities.

Please feel free to visit their website www.campcoastcare.com.

Be sure to check the bulletin for updates on fundraisers that will be taking place in order to aid with the financial support of this trip.
