NOTRE DAME CHURCH

INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK 2009

Notre Dame will be providing shelter for a few Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) homeless families from Sunday July 12 through Sunday July 19, 2009. These families have lost their home because of illness, work downsizing or circumstances that are out of their control. Essex county congregations work with IHN by opening their hearts and their buildings to provide temporary housing for these families.

SET UP – Charlie’s Place, the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms.

v Sunday, July 12, 2009 – Sunday, July 19

PREPARE A MEAL and deliver it to the church. Evening meals must be brought by 5:00 pm (menus to be determined)

v Sunday, July 12-Saturday July 18

EVENING HOST (5:00 pm to 8:30 pm) Teenagers and Young Adults welcomed! (Interact with guest, set-up buffet table, share meal and help clean-up.)

OVERNIGHT HOST (8:30 pm to 7:30 am)

BREAKDOWN Charlie’s Place and bedrooms

v PROVIDE monetary support for food, baby diapers or laundry items. Checks should be made payable to Notre Dame, (with IHN notation) and dropped off at the parish office.

v DONATE grocery items ( please call for items needed)

This is a great opportunity for a Small Faith Group, Scouting Group, family, teenager, young adult, or just a caring individual to put their faith into action.
